The Washington Post reported on the recent decision by the Constitutional Court to declare unconstitutional the Military Cooperation Agreement between Colombia and the US that allowed US military personnel the use of 7 bases within Colombia. The agreement sparked a wave of instability in the region with Venezuela threatening to go to war with Colombia. The Latin America Herald Tribune reported on the demobilization of a small FARC front and the surrender of a FARC arsenal in provinces of the northern department of Antioquia.
