The Associated Press reported on November 25th on the third anniversary of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Colombia and the US. AP reports that the Agreement is still stuck in the US Congress, and with more urgent matters to attend to, it seems that it is not moving forward any time soon. The BBC reported on the 19th that alleged members of the Venezuelan army dynamited two bridges in the frontier with Colombia. This adds to the increasing tensions between the two nations - a product of Colombia’s deal with the USG to install seven US military bases in the country. In similar news the President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez has called on the military to be prepared for a possible war with Colombia, as it was reported on the BBC on November 9th. . The Los Angeles Times reported on November 10th that 9 soldiers were killed in clashes with guerrilla militants. The clash took place in the Municipality of Corinto in the Department of Cauca. The New York Times reported on the finalization of the US base deal between Colombia and the USG. The deal was signed by the US Ambassador to Colombia William Brownfield and three members of the Colombian Government

La Prensa Asociada reportó el 25 de Noviembre sobre el tercer aniversario de la firma del Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Estados Unidos y Colombia. AP asegura que el tratado sigue estancando en el Congreso Americano y todo parece indicar que seguirá así indefinidamente. La BBC en un artículo publicado el 19, reportó la voladura de dos puentes por supuestos miembros del Ejército Venezolano en la frontera con Colombia. Por último el New York Times reportó sobre la firma del acuerdo de las bases militares entre Colombia y Estados Unidos, por miembros del Gabinete Colombiano y por el Emabajador Brownfield.
